Personade is live today, 5 August 2026. No waitlist, no invite code. You can sign up and start.
There are two products, and they are for two different people. Personade is for founders who have to do outbound and hate it. Personade for Slack is for the person who remembers everyone's birthday and is tired of being the only one who does.
Both work the same way underneath. You record yourself once. Everything after that says the right name.
What Personade does
You record your demo once, up to 90 seconds, the way you would show it to a friend, opening by greeting one prospect by name the way you naturally would. Already have a Loom? Paste the link instead. No script, no studio.
Then you pick who sees it. You can search LinkedIn four ways, search Google Businesses, or search a 250-million-contact database of verified work emails, all from inside Personade. If you already have a list, import the CSV. Finding leads costs nothing, so you can look before you spend.
For each lead, Personade takes that opening and says it back with their name in it, in a clone of your voice, lip-synced onto your own footage. The demo body is never touched, and neither are your words. It is not writing a new line about each lead, it is putting the right name into the one you recorded, so every video sounds like you sat down and made it for that person.
Every lead gets their own page with their name on it, their video, and one call to action. The first three render as a preview before the batch goes, so you check the pronunciation and the tone before you commit. The four steps are laid out here if you want to see the whole loop, and you can watch one made for your own company rather than take our word for it.
Then you send. Not us. Personade hands you the links, you export them to Instantly, Lemlist, Smartlead or a CSV, and they go out from your own inbox or your own LinkedIn account. There is no shared outbox and no pool of accounts firing on your behalf. Your name stays attached to your sending, and nobody else can spend your reputation.
Every page reports back: opened, played, how far they watched, whether they clicked. You follow up with the warm ones and leave the rest alone.
What it is not: an AI avatar. It is your face, your voice, your recording. The generated part is a few seconds at the start. If the whole idea still makes you uneasy, we wrote about outreach that feels like spam rather than pretend nobody asks.
Plans start at $99 a month. There is no free plan, on purpose, and there is a founding discount of 50% running right now that stays on the subscription for as long as it is active. The pricing page has the numbers.
What Personade for Slack does
Different product, different buyer. This one is for People and HR teams.
Someone senior, usually the founder or the CEO, records three short videos. One for birthdays, one for work anniversaries, one for first days. That is the whole setup.
After that it runs on its own. On the morning of someone's birthday, a card lands in Slack with a video where their name is spoken out loud, in the voice of whoever recorded it. Same for a five-year anniversary. Same for a new joiner's first hour.
A few decisions in there are worth saying out loud, because they are the difference between a nice idea and something you can leave switched on:
- It reads the dates Slack already has. Start dates are a standard Slack profile field, so work anniversaries need no data entry at all. New joiners trigger on the join event, so first-day videos need no dates either. Birthdays are the only gap, because Slack has no standard birthday field. If your workspace has a custom date field for it, we find it on install. If not, you type them in.
- Birthdays store the month and day, never the year. We have no reason to know anyone's age.
- It posts at 9am in the employee's own timezone, and renders the night before, so nothing is being made while people are waiting for it.
- Nobody gets one twice. The exactly-once guard is at the database level. Sending a duplicate birthday video is worse than sending none.
- Anyone can opt out, and HR cannot undo it. Some people would rather the room stayed quiet on their birthday. That is allowed.
- Guests and contractors are excluded by default. They are usually not your team.
Pricing is per seat, and a seat is a person who could receive a video, not a video sent. Untick someone or let them opt out and they cost nothing. It starts at $149 a month for 50 seats. If billing ever breaks, the send still goes: an empty or broken allowance reads as unmetered, because a missed birthday is not an acceptable way to find out about a payment problem.
It installs straight from the Slack page with the normal Slack permission screen. We are not in the Slack Marketplace yet, and we are honest about why: Slack requires five active workspaces before they will even review a listing. So the install link is the front door for now.
Why we built two
We did not plan a second product. We built the first one because one of us can build and would rather do almost anything than run a cold email campaign, which is a common enough problem that it turned out to be a business.
The Slack one came out of the same engine pointed somewhere kinder. The hard part of Personade is saying one specific person's name inside real footage without it sounding stitched together. Once that works, "hello Michael" in an outbound video and "happy birthday Michael" on a Tuesday morning are the same problem.
One of them helps you get a customer. The other one makes 200 people feel seen by someone who does not have time to record 200 videos. We were not going to sit on the second one.
Common questions
Is Personade an AI avatar tool? No. You record real footage of yourself and Personade edits a few seconds of it. Your face, your voice, your words in the body of the video. What is generated is the short greeting at the front, spoken in a clone of your own voice from your own recording. If you want a synthetic presenter reading a script, this is the wrong tool.
Does Personade send my outreach for me? No, and that is deliberate. It gives you a link per lead and stops. You export those links and send them from your own inbox or LinkedIn, at whatever volume you can stand behind. Nothing goes out under a shared domain or a borrowed account, so the sending reputation you build stays yours.
Do I need both Personade and Personade for Slack? No. They are separate accounts with separate pricing, and most people will only ever want one. Outbound founders want Personade. People and HR teams want Personade for Slack. Nothing crosses over between them.
Is there a free trial of Personade? No. There is no free plan and no trial, which is a choice rather than an oversight. The cheapest plan is $99 a month, currently half that during the founding window, and the founding price stays on your subscription for as long as you keep it.
Both are live now. Sign up for Personade or add Personade for Slack to your workspace.
