How to download a Loom video
Copy the Loom link
Open the video, hit Share, then Copy Link. It looks like loom.com/share/ followed by a long string. An embed link works too.
Paste it above
Drop the link in the box and press Download. Nothing to sign up for and nothing to install.
Keep the file
The video saves to your downloads as an MP4. No watermark, no trimmed length, the same quality Loom holds.

What this tool will and will not do
- Public videos only
- If a video is password-protected, or locked to a workspace or a company domain, a link on its own is not enough to open it. That is Loom doing its job, and no tool gets around it.
- Nothing is kept by us
- Your link is used to ask Loom where the file lives, then the file is streamed from Loom to your device through our server, without being saved. Nothing is written to disk and nothing is kept, so we could not hand over a copy if we wanted to.
- Download what is yours
- Keeping your own recordings, or ones you have been given the right to keep, is the point of this. It is not a way around somebody's decision to keep a video off your drive.

Pick whichever you like. If you need a private video, none of the free web tools can open it. Tella points to its desktop app for that, and Loom's own download button works if you have access.

That is the real limit of a Loom in outreach. One recording is easy. Finding two hundred people, sending each of them a connection request and following up without losing track is the part that eats your week.

help@personade.comYes. No account, no email, and no watermark on the file. It costs us very little to run, so the only limit is a handful of downloads per hour per person to keep it working for everyone.
An MP4, which plays anywhere. Loom keeps some recordings as a stream rather than a finished file, and those cannot be saved yet. The tool says so instead of failing quietly if you hit one.
No. A private video needs permission Loom has not given the link, and this tool has no way around that. If you can only watch it while signed in, you cannot download it here.
No. The link is used once, in the moment, to ask Loom for the file location. The video is streamed straight through to your device and is never saved on our side. We keep no record of the link or the video.
The same as the MP4 Loom has already made for that video. We pass Loom's file through as it is, so we never shrink it, re-encode it or add a watermark. The file cannot be sharper than the version Loom keeps.
Yes, 150MB per video. A typical few-minute Loom is well under that. Anything bigger is stopped rather than handed to you half-finished, because a file cut off halfway can look complete. For a very long recording, use Loom's own download button.
No. The tool saves the video only, as an MP4, with no transcript or caption file. If the owner has left the transcript switched on, you can read it on the video's page on Loom.
Copy the share link from the Loom app or the video page, open this page in your phone's browser, paste it and press Download. On an iPhone the MP4 goes to the Downloads folder in the Files app. On Android it goes to your Downloads. Phone browsers are stricter with big files, so a long recording is more reliable on a laptop.
Download recordings you own, or ones whose owner is happy for you to keep. Loom has its own download button for exactly this reason, and this tool is for when you want the file without opening an account or when the button is not there.
Not here, one link at a time. If you are moving hundreds of recordings out, Loom's own bulk export is the right tool for that job.
