Who we are
Personade ("Personade", "we", "us") provides software that turns one recorded demo into a personalized video and landing page for each of your leads, and helps you find those leads in the first place. In this policy, "you" means a person who uses Personade or visits this site.
What we collect
Information you give us
- Account and billing data: your name, work email, company, and payment details.
- Waitlist email: if you join the waitlist, we store the email address you submit so we can tell you when we open.
- Recordings you create: the video and audio of your own face and voice that you record to build your demo.
- Lead data you provide: the contacts and company details you upload, import, or search for so Personade can build outreach for them.
Information from the lead sources you use
When you search LinkedIn, Google Businesses, or the contact database from inside Personade, or upload your own CSV, we process the contact and company details returned so Personade can build the video and page. We do not send anything on your behalf. You send your outreach yourself.
Information we collect automatically
We collect standard usage and device data such as pages viewed, actions taken, IP address, and browser type. See Cookies and analytics below for how we use cookies and what you can turn off.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the service.
- To generate a personalized video and landing page for each lead on your behalf.
- To create a voice model from your recording, used only to speak the per-lead opening lines you generate.
- To process payments and manage your account.
- To send service messages and respond to support requests.
- To keep the platform secure and prevent abuse.
Cookies and analytics
We use two kinds of cookies. Essential cookies keep the site and the product working, so they cannot be switched off. Analytics cookies are optional, and we only load them if you allow it.
If you accept, we use two analytics tools. Google Analytics tells us which pages people visit and what is working; it sets its own cookies and receives your IP address (truncated) and usage data as our processor. Microsoft Clarity records anonymised session replays and builds heatmaps so we can see where the site confuses people; it masks text input by default and does not capture the content you type. We use neither to identify you personally, and we do not sell that data.
You choose the first time you visit, through the cookie banner, and you can change your mind at any time from the Cookie settings link in the footer. If you decline, we do not load Google Analytics or Microsoft Clarity at all.
Lead data you provide
To build a video and page, Personade reads publicly available information about a lead's company, such as their website, to draft a relevant opening line. When you upload or import lead data, we act as a processor on your behalf. You are the controller of that data and are responsible for having a lawful basis to share it and to contact the people you reach out to.
Your voice and video
The footage in every video is genuinely you, recorded once. We create a voice model from your recording for the sole purpose of speaking the opening lines you generate, which we then lip-sync onto your own footage. Only the opening line is synthesized. We do not create a synthetic voice or face of anyone who has not consented.
How we share information
We share data only as needed to run Personade:
- Service providers: hosting, storage, video and voice processing, payments, and analytics vendors who process data under contract and on our instructions.
- Legal reasons: when required by law, or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the service.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.
We do not sell personal data.
Service providers we use
We currently rely on a small set of providers to run the service, covering cloud hosting, database, file storage, video and voice processing, payments, and email. This list can change as the product grows. For the current list of named providers, email privacy@personade.com.
Data retention
We keep personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, then delete or anonymize it within a reasonable period, unless a longer retention is required by law. When you delete a recording or close your account, we delete the associated recordings and generated videos.
Security
We use technical and organizational measures to protect data, including encryption in transit and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@personade.com. If you are a lead contacted through Personade, the customer who reached out is the controller of your data, and we will route your request to them.
International transfers
We may process data in countries other than yours. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
Children
Personade is a business tool and is not intended for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here and update the date above. We will communicate material changes through the service.
