The service
Personade is LinkedIn outreach software. You connect a LinkedIn account, choose who to reach, and write a sequence. Personade then carries out that sequence from your account on a schedule: viewing profiles, sending connection requests and messages, following people, liking posts and endorsing skills, inside daily limits and working hours. When someone replies, their sequence stops and the conversation appears in your Personade inbox, where you answer from.
Personade also helps you find people to reach, from LinkedIn searches, Sales Navigator, posts, events, groups, your own connections, a CSV or a list of profile links, and it can look for a work email address for a lead.
Personalised video, where we turn one recording of you into a version for each lead, is a separate done-for-you service sold on a call. It is covered under Personalised video below.
Personade does not send email on your behalf and does not connect to your email inbox or your CRM. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Accounts and eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a contract. If you use Personade for a company, you confirm you are allowed to bind it. You are responsible for your Personade account, your login, and everything done under it. Keep your details accurate.
Your LinkedIn account
This is the part of these terms to read most carefully.
How the connection works. To connect a LinkedIn account you give us its email address and password, and any verification code LinkedIn asks for. Our software signs in to LinkedIn as you, in a browser we run on our servers, through one fixed residential internet address, always the same one, in your country when one is available. No other Personade account uses that address at the same time. The address comes from a proxy provider, whose other customers may use it too. Once signed in we keep the session, encrypted, and use it to carry out your campaigns and to read the conversations your campaigns started. The password itself is deleted no later than thirty minutes after you type it, whether or not the sign in succeeded. Our privacy policy has the full list of what we hold.
It must be your account. You may only connect a LinkedIn account that belongs to you, or that its owner has expressly authorised you to run on their behalf, for example a client who has hired you to manage their outreach. You may not connect an account you bought, borrowed, or created under a false identity.
LinkedIn's rules and the risk to your account. LinkedIn's user agreement restricts automated activity, and LinkedIn may warn, restrict or close an account it believes is automated. Personade is built to act like a careful person, with conservative default limits, a warm-up period for new accounts, working hours, and a fixed address per account, but no automation tool can remove that risk, and we do not promise your account will not be restricted. You decide to use automation on your account, you choose the daily limits, and you accept the consequences from LinkedIn, including any restriction, loss of access, or loss of connections and message history. We are not liable for them.
What you must not do with it. You must not raise your limits past the ceilings the product enforces, run the same LinkedIn account through another automation tool at the same time, or use Personade to circumvent a restriction LinkedIn has placed on an account.
Disconnecting. You can disconnect an account at any time from the app. We then delete the stored session and sign it out on LinkedIn's side. We also disconnect accounts automatically seven days after a subscription ends, and three days after a trial that was never paid for.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use Personade to:
- Commit fraud, run a scam, phish, or deceive anyone about who you are, who you represent, or what you are offering.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation with one.
- Send unlawful, harassing, threatening, hateful, sexual, or infringing messages, or keep contacting someone who has asked you to stop.
- Promote pyramid or multi-level marketing schemes, or market regulated goods such as securities, drugs, or gambling without the required authorisation.
- Break the privacy, anti-spam, and marketing laws that apply to your outreach, including GDPR, the UK GDPR, PECR, CAN-SPAM, CASL, and similar rules, or LinkedIn's Professional Community Policies.
- Contact minors, or build lists based on protected characteristics.
- Resell, share, or scrape the lead data Personade finds for you other than for your own outreach.
- Scrape, overload, or attempt to break, bypass, or reverse engineer the service, or share one Personade login between several people.
Your content and your leads
You keep ownership of the messages you write, the lists you import, the recordings you provide, and everything else you put into Personade. You grant us a limited licence to host and process that content only to provide the service to you.
You are the sender. Every message, connection note, and video Personade sends from your account is sent by you. You are responsible for its content, for having a lawful basis to contact each person on your list, and for honouring any request to stop. Personade gives you a do-not-contact list and stops a sequence the moment someone replies; using them well is on you.
Lead data. Personade stores information about the people you reach: their public LinkedIn profile, the company page, recent posts, contact details LinkedIn shows you once you are connected, and the conversations your campaigns start. You are the controller of that data and we process it for you. Our Data Processing Agreement forms part of these terms and applies automatically. There is nothing to sign. If these terms and that agreement disagree about personal data, that agreement wins.
Email addresses. When you use Find email, we tell you whether an address came from the person's profile or is our best guess. A guess is a guess. Check it before you rely on it, and do not use it to send bulk email the recipient has not agreed to.
Personalised video
Personalised video is a done-for-you service, scoped, priced and delivered separately from your subscription. The order form, quote or statement of work for that engagement sets out volume, price and timing. These terms apply to everything the order form does not cover.
How it is made. You, or the person you nominate, records one video. With that person's written consent we create a voice model from the recording and use it to speak each lead's version of the script, then lip-sync it onto the recorded footage. Depending on the engagement, only the opening line is re-spoken and the rest of the recording is untouched, or the entire script is re-spoken for each lead. Your order form says which. The face and voice in every video are always the real person who recorded it.
Your promises about the person on camera. The person recorded is you, or someone who has given you clear, documented consent to have their voice cloned and their footage used this way. You will not use the service to create the voice or likeness of anyone else, to impersonate anyone, or to make anyone appear to say something they did not agree to say. We will not clone a voice without a recorded consent, and we delete a voice model on request.
Disclosure. You remain responsible for complying with the laws that apply to your outreach, including any requirement to tell recipients that part of a video was generated.
Monitoring and enforcement
We do not pre-screen or monitor the messages you send, and we are not responsible for them. We may, but are not obliged to, review content and account activity. If we believe in good faith that content or use breaks these terms or the law, harms the people you contact, or puts other customers or us at risk, we may pause campaigns, disconnect a LinkedIn account, remove content, suspend or terminate the account immediately and without notice, withhold refunds, and cooperate with or report the matter to law enforcement and to affected parties. Plans, trial, and billing
Plans. Pro is one LinkedIn account for one monthly or yearly price. Agency is priced per LinkedIn account, with a minimum of three, and each account you add is billed. Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout. Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, and renew automatically until cancelled. Every feature is on every plan; the daily limits are LinkedIn's, not ours, so no plan sends more per account than another.
Free trial. Your first plan starts with a 14-day free trial. A payment method is taken when the trial starts, and the first charge is made when it ends unless you cancel first. Cancel before the trial ends and you pay nothing. One trial per customer.
Cancelling. You can cancel from Billing in the app at any time. Cancelling stops the next renewal; your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not refunded for the remainder. Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.
Changing plans. Moving between plans or adding accounts takes effect straight away and is charged pro rata for the rest of the current period.
Switcher discount. If you tell us you are moving from another LinkedIn tool, your first 12 months (or first year on yearly billing) are 30% off. One per workspace, first subscription only. We may remove the discount from the next billing period if the claim turns out not to be true.
Payment. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments as our merchant of record. The charge on your statement, your invoice and any applicable tax come from them. Prices are in US dollars unless stated otherwise.
Price changes. We may change pricing with at least 30 days' notice by email, effective at your next renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before the renewal.
Personalised video and legacy plans. Personalised video is invoiced per its order form, and any prepaid video allowance expires as that form states. Customers on a plan we no longer sell keep the terms of that plan until they change or cancel it.
API access
Where we give you an API key or an integration endpoint, it is for your own use of your own account. Keep the key secret, do not exceed the rate limits we publish, and do not use the API to build a competing product or to extract data at scale. We may revoke a key that is misused.
Intellectual property
Personade, including the software, design, and brand, belongs to us. These terms do not grant you any rights in our intellectual property other than the right to use the service as permitted. If you send us feedback we may use it without owing you anything.
Termination
You may stop using Personade at any time and delete your account from Settings. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately and without notice if you breach these terms, misuse a LinkedIn account or the video service, or use Personade in a way that creates legal or reputational risk. Fees already paid are not refunded when we terminate for breach. On termination your right to use the service ends, any connected LinkedIn account is signed out, and we delete your data as described in our privacy policy. The sections that by their nature should continue, including Your content and your leads, Personalised video, Intellectual property, Disclaimers, Limitation of liability, Indemnification, and Governing law, survive termination.
Disclaimers
The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted or error free, that LinkedIn will keep allowing it to work, that any message will be delivered or answered, or that you will get any particular number of replies, meetings or sales. LinkedIn changes its site without notice and a change can stop a feature working until we adapt to it. Personade is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by LinkedIn.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Personade will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, for lost profits or lost business, or for any restriction, suspension or closure of a LinkedIn account, and our total liability will not exceed the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. These limits do not apply to, and do not reduce, your obligation to indemnify us or any amounts you owe us. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Personade and its people from any claim, loss, liability, and cost, including reasonable legal fees, arising from: the messages and videos you send; any claim by a person you contacted, or whose voice or likeness was used; any claim by LinkedIn or another platform about your use of their service through Personade; your fraud, misrepresentation, or violation of law; or your breach of these terms. We may take control of the defence of any claim you are required to indemnify, and you will cooperate with us. This obligation survives termination and is not limited by the cap in Limitation of liability.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where Personade is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. The courts of that jurisdiction have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service.
Changes
We may update these terms. We will post the new version here and update the date above, and for material changes we will email you before they take effect. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.
