What is a unified LinkedIn inbox?
It is one place to read and answer LinkedIn messages that would otherwise sit in several separate inboxes. If you run outreach from two, five or ten LinkedIn accounts, that means no more signing in and out, and no more missed replies in an account you forgot to check.
Personade's inbox is built around your campaigns. Every conversation in it is with someone one of your campaigns reached. Your friends, your recruiters and your group chats stay on LinkedIn, where they belong. What is left is the work: the people who answered your outreach.
From one screen you can see every account together or one at a time, filter by campaign or tag, search, star, archive, leave a private note and reply. Your reply goes out from the LinkedIn account that owns the conversation, so the person on the other side sees the same name they have been talking to.
Only the conversations your campaigns started
Most LinkedIn inbox tools pull in everything. That sounds useful until you are scrolling past birthday wishes and recruiter spam to find the one prospect who said yes.
We do the opposite on purpose. A conversation is only stored in Personade when the other person is a lead in one of your campaigns. Every other LinkedIn message you have never reaches our database. That keeps the inbox focused on sales, and it keeps your private messages private.
So when you open the inbox, every thread is a lead you chose to contact. Nothing to sort, nothing to hide from a teammate looking over your shoulder.
Campaign leads only
If the person is a lead in one of your campaigns, the chat shows up. If not, it never leaves LinkedIn.
Private stays private
Personal messages are not copied, stored or read by us.
Less noise
Every thread in the list is one you might want to answer.
A LinkedIn inbox for multiple accounts
If you run several LinkedIn accounts, for yourself, a co-founder or your clients, the inbox shows them all together under "All accounts". A switcher at the top lets you look at one account at a time, and each account shows how many unread replies it has.
When you answer, you do not pick a sender. The reply goes out as the account that owns the thread, automatically. You cannot answer a client's prospect from your own profile by mistake.
This is the part that saves the most time. Checking ten LinkedIn inboxes one by one is slow and easy to forget. Checking one list with unread counts per account takes a minute.
All accounts
Every campaign reply from every connected account in one list.
One at a time
Switch to a single account when you only want its replies.
Right sender, always
Replies go out from the account that started the conversation.
LinkedIn inbox filters, tags and notes
LinkedIn's own messaging gives you very little to work with. Our inbox gives you the tools to treat replies like a pipeline.
Folders split the list into All, Unread, Starred and Archived. Filters narrow it to one campaign or one lead tag. Search finds a thread by the person's name, their company or the campaign they came from.
Tags are the same ones you use on the Leads page, so a lead tagged "Interested" in the inbox is tagged "Interested" everywhere. You create your own tags, so they can mean whatever your process needs: hot, follow up in March, not a fit. Each conversation also has one private note, up to 5,000 characters, for the things you want to remember before the call.
| Tool | What it does |
|---|---|
| Folders | All, Unread, Starred, Archived |
| Filters | By campaign and by lead tag |
| Search | By name, company or campaign |
| Tags | Shared with the Leads page, so they match everywhere |
| Private note | One per conversation, up to 5,000 characters |
| Star and archive | Keep the hot ones on top, clear the done ones away |
Reply in the thread, files included
You answer inside the conversation, with the whole history above you. Messages can be up to 8,000 characters, and you can attach up to 5 files of up to 20 MB each: a deck, a one-pager, a price sheet.
What you write is what gets sent. We do not rewrite your messages, and we do not answer for you. When a prospect replies, a human should be the one who answers.
Full history
Your campaign messages and their replies, in order, in one thread.
Attachments
Up to 5 files per message, up to 20 MB each.
Room to write
Up to 8,000 characters per message.
Email alerts and a steady sync
You do not have to keep the inbox open. When a lead replies, we send you an email, so you can answer while the conversation is still warm.
Behind the scenes, we sync each LinkedIn account about every 15 minutes during your working hours, and about every 3 hours outside them. The timing moves by up to 20% either way, so the pattern looks like a person checking their messages, not a machine. If you are waiting on someone, the Refresh button asks for a fresh sync straight away.
While the inbox is open, the page itself updates every 30 seconds, so new replies appear without reloading.
Working hours
About every 15 minutes.
Outside working hours
About every 3 hours.

How the inbox works, step by step
From the first message your campaign sends to the reply you write back.
- 1
Connect your LinkedIn accounts
Add one account or several. Each one runs in the cloud with its own fixed address, so there is nothing to keep open on your laptop.
- 2
Your campaigns reach out
Invites and messages go out from each account at a human pace, inside your working hours.
- 3
Someone replies
Their sequence stops in every campaign, and you get an email about the new reply.
- 4
We sync it in
About every 15 minutes in working hours, the conversation lands in your inbox under the right account.
- 5
You sort and answer
Filter by campaign or tag, read the thread, add a note, tag the lead and reply. It goes out as the account that owns the chat.
What the inbox does not do
Honest limits, so you know exactly what you are getting.
- It only holds conversations with your campaign leads. Your other LinkedIn messages stay on LinkedIn and never reach us.
- It is not real time. We sync about every 15 minutes in working hours and about every 3 hours outside them. The Refresh button is there when you cannot wait.
- No InMail and no Sales Navigator inbox. Only regular LinkedIn messages with your campaign leads.
- No assigning conversations to teammates, no saved replies and no AI replies. You read and you write.
- The inbox loads your 300 most recent conversations at a time.
- Sync and replies need a live plan. If your trial or plan ends, the inbox stops updating.

Still wondering?
help@personade.comYes. Every LinkedIn account connected to your Personade workspace feeds into one inbox. You can see all accounts together or switch to one at a time, and each account shows its own unread count. The inbox holds conversations with your campaign leads, not every LinkedIn message.
Yes, always. When you reply in the unified inbox, the message is sent as the LinkedIn account that owns that conversation. You never pick the sender, so you cannot answer a lead from the wrong profile.
LinkedIn messaging shows one account and every conversation you have ever had. Our inbox shows every account you run, but only the people your campaigns reached. On top, you get filters by campaign and tag, search by name, company or campaign, stars, archive and a private note on each conversation.
No, and that is on purpose. We only store conversations with people who are leads in your campaigns. Messages from friends, colleagues or recruiters never reach our database, so your inbox stays focused on sales and your private messages stay private.
No. The inbox covers regular LinkedIn messages with your campaign leads. InMail and the Sales Navigator inbox are not included.
We sync each LinkedIn account about every 15 minutes during your working hours and about every 3 hours outside them. It is not real time. You can press Refresh to sync straight away, and while the inbox is open it updates every 30 seconds. You also get an email when a lead replies.
Yes. You create your own tags, such as Interested or Not interested, and add them from the inbox. Tags are shared with the Leads page, so a tag you add in one place shows in the other. You can then filter the inbox by tag.
Yes. A reply stops that lead's sequence at once, in every campaign in your workspace, whichever account sent it. From then on the conversation is yours to carry on in the inbox.
